A great mining company in Gauteng is seeking the expertise of an Engineering Manager to join their team.Essential Requirements:Grade 12Degree or Diploma in Mining EngineeringGCC Mines and Works10 – 12 years of experience in an underground mining environmentMinimum 7 years of experience in a senior management roleDuties And Responsibilities:Drive and participate actively in formulating and reviewing overall long-term strategies for the Engineering function by identifying the short, medium- and long-term needs in support of long-term strategic direction of the organisation.Provide Engineering expertise and advise regional Executive Management on strategic issues within the scope of the Engineering function that could impact on business.Interpret SA regional business and Engineering strategies and plans for the region to translate into the vision, strategic and operational plans for the Engineering function.Ensure Engineering strategic and operational plans are executed in all operations; and engineering audits conducted frequently in the Engineering function from a corporate perspective.Ensure Engineering Learning from Incidents (LFI) is institutionalised in the company from HPI reviews, industry best practice assessments and solving for critical control effectiveness.
