RPO Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Engineering Foreman to join a leading mining company in the North West province.
Responsibilities:
Oversee subordinates, coordinate, and carry out proactive and reactive maintenance in the workplace to ensure equipment availability and safe production continuity and legal compliance.
Legal responsibility in terms of 2.9.2 appointment of the MHSA.
Cost management and control.
Working knowledge of implementing maintenance strategies and root cause analysis and RCM principles.
Working knowledge of SHEQ standards and legislation.
Supervise and inspect work in progress and upon completion to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications and acceptable work practices and workmanship.
Ensure that the workshop housekeeping and operating practices are of a high standard and that special tools and equipment are well maintained.
Develop and implement improvements where necessary.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements:
Grade 12.
N6 in Mechanical Engineering, National Diploma would be advantageous.
Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate.
Supervisor/Foreman Certificate.
Minimum 5 years' experience as an Artisan in an Open Cast Mining environment.
AMT PM and MM experience will be advantageous.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
