This is the role The EHS Libryo Engineering Delivery Manager is responsible for the following:
Plan, coordinate and supervise engineering projects and supervise multiple teams Build and manage diverse teams of engineers from different disciplines Formulate and execute strategies, and coordinate with other managers Determining the need for training and talent development Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering department across all teams Hiring, recruiting and training of engineering talent Oversee the development and maintenance of engineering team competence Develop evaluation criteria that will serve to measure progress and effectiveness of departmental operations Provide performance ratings and reviews for team members Review department objectives for adequacy and consistency with business objectives Monthly reporting of departmental metrics Drive continuous improvement of processes, quality and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness Define, manage, measure and report relevant Key Performance Indicators Define workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness Identify resource needs and develop justification Coach and develop members of the engineering team Requirements Understand scaling and enjoy the opportunity to grow an engineering team Decision making, problem-solving and have excellent organisational skills to balance and prioritise work Lead teams and work jointly across departments Above average analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve people and process problems Great attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills At least 10 years of experience managing/working in engineering teams This is you You're a proven leader who cares about your team, keen to share your knowledge and open to giving (and receiving) continuous feedback. You're a strong communicator and thrive working cross-functionally. You have experience managing or mentoring the performance and development of engineers. You know what good looks like for a high-performing team of engineers and know how to get there. You have previously worked as a software engineer at a senior level. You have an empathetic leadership style and you build strong, effective relationships. You should care deeply about helping others achieve their goals, avoid burnout, and become the best engineers they can be. A fundamental understanding of the principles of Agile and Lean development. You're product-minded and understand the trade-offs between quality and delivering fast. You love to learn new skills and want to develop your existing ones to maximise your potential. You care about impact, love a challenge, and take ownership of your work.
