PEGASYS is a multidisciplinary strategy and management consulting firm. Founded in 2000, PEGASYS is a trusted advisor and partner to the public and private sectors globally. We work with governments, international financial institutions, private clients and investors to design, finance, implement or establish the strategies, institutions and structures needed to deliver and manage infrastructure and services, while safeguarding natural resources. We operate in seven sectors, namely cities, climate, energy, resilience, transport, waste, and water. Together with our clients and partners, we are improving quality of life, access to economic opportunities and building resilience through innovative yet workable solutions. We are looking to recruit a full-time Engineer with a background in one or more of the following areas: water, agriculture, and energy. This person would fit within the Climate, Natural Resources and Infrastructure (CNRI) Grouping of the Resilience Practice. The position is available in either of our KZN (Pietermaritzburg) or Gauteng (Pretoria) offices. This individual will be expected to support the strategic direction of the CNRI Team and will include both acquisition, delivery, and a staff management component. Specific focus on the delivery and management of multiple projects simultaneously is also key. The role would best suit candidates who have a strong desire to apply their engineering knowledge in a strategic manner to influence the planning and design of green and grey infrastructure solutions in the early stages of projects to ensure sustainable design and development. There will be an emphasis on infrastructure design and development in the face of climate change as part of the role. In line with the company's employment equity plan, this role is an employment equity position and open to such applications.
