Description: About us: The Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto is a research-led Faculty, educating the next generation of leaders in information scholarship and the information professions, both established and emerging. The Faculty currently offers two Master's degree programs, namely, a Master of Museum Studies (MMSt), and a Master of Information (MI), as well as a Combined MI/MMSt Degree Program (CDP) and a Graduate Diploma of Advanced Study in Information Studies (DAIS). The Faculty also offers a PhD program and in 2019 it introduced a Bachelor of Information (BI) program.
MI Students can specialize in one or two concentrations including Archives and Records Management, Library and Information Sciences, Information Systems and Design, User Experience Design and Human-Centred Data Science.

Your opportunity: As a member of the external facing Employer Engagement Team, under the general supervision of the Manager, Co-op, Careers, and Work-Integrated Learning (WIL), and in collaboration with members of the internal facing Career Advising Team, you will build and cultivate relationships with employers, alumni and community partners providing outstanding service delivery to professionals across a wide spectrum of industry, non-profit, government and other sectors.
Independently, and in consultation with colleagues and partners, you will connect with employers and partners to engage them with our Faculty for WIL opportunities for our students. This would include navigating them through the career ecosystem from posting opportunities and hosting events such as employer information sessions, networking events and career panels and fairs, through supporting events, activities and programming to contract administration.
Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importanceKeeping well-informed on best practices for developing student placement and work-integrated learning opportunitiesImplementing plans that support the development of work-integrated learning opportunities for studentsAnalyzing data to determine trends and recommend target marketsPreparing draft statistical reports and summaries from data collectedEnsuring contracts and agreements are consistent with University standards and guidelinesConducting detailed analysis on program efficiency and student learning outcomes to inform program planning activitiesConducting detailed labour market analysis to inform program and partnership developmentEssential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or acceptable combination of equivalent education and experienceMinimum five (5) years of experience in administering employer partnerships and/or Work Integrated Learning in a university career centre, co-op, or recruitment settingExperience developing student placements and work-integrated learning opportunities, and knowledge of best-practicesExperience managing effective relationships with a wide variety of stakeholdersExperience administering Work Integrated Learning contractsExperience developing and delivering presentations and eventsProven ability to handle a variety of projects, deadlines and schedules simultaneouslyStrong relationship cultivation, building and management skills with a customer service-oriented focusExcellent organizational, and time management skills to cope with multiple projects and eventsStrong written communication skills and public speaking skillsDemonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with partnersStrong computer skills including Microsoft OfficeBroad knowledge of labour market trends and higher educationMust show evidence of a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and the promotion of a respectful and collegial learning and working environmentAssets (Nonessential): Exposure to relationship management databases (e.g. Symplicity)Experience with Work Integrated Learning contract development and university approval processTo be successful in this role you will be: ApproachableOrganizedTactfulTeam playerClosing Date: 08/21/2024, 11:59PM ET

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: USW Pay Band 12 -- $79,874. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $102,147.
