Energy Engineer

Seeking an Energy Engineer with around 4 - 6 years experience in electrical engineering and focusing on the renewable energy sector to support the further growth, development, and service delivery of the energy consulting team. This role will have a particular focus on the electrical engineering aspects of their projects, as well as business development support and project management support of PV, wind, and mini/micro-grid projects.Focus on grid-connections and large-project context, structure, and role-players are important.ResponsibilitiesProject management support to Lead Project Manager and delivery of lender's advisory, owner's engineer, and design services within the renewable energy sector for private Independent Power Producer clients, including: project planning and management, feasibility studies, concept design development, and preparation of technical specifications and tender documentation - with a particular focus on photovoltaic, wind, storage, and grid systems.Writing technical reports & presentations, compiling design drawings, and presentations.Preparation of bids and proposals. Support Senior Engineers in winning work.RequirementsB.Eng., BSC. or B. Tech in Electrical, Mechatronics or Mechanical engineering, preferably with a further qualification in renewable energy and/or project management and/or financial management.Registered as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA.Minimum of 2 – 4 years work experience relevant to the design and implementation of renewable energy projects (Solar and/or Wind).Recognizable experience relevant in the energy sector with specific exposure to renewable energy (Solar and/or Wind).Experience of the South Africa energy sector (advantage).SoftwarePVSystAutoCADRevitDigSilentExcel, Word, PowerPointHOMERXENDEEWindProMS ProjectKnowledge and interest in data-management, machine learning, Python etc. will be a bonus.Desired SkillsSolarWindPVSystWindProHelioscopeDigSilentEmployer & Job BenefitsMedical aidProvident Fund
