Our Client is looking to employ a Electronic Workshop Technician based in Vereeniging, Gauteng. Objective of the Job: Under the general direction of the Electronic Workshop Manager, responsible for performing various Electronic workshop related tasks on a day to day basis. The objective is to perform assembly, installation, alteration, repair, fault finding, calibration and testing of electronic equipment. Qualifications and Experience: Grade 12 (Essential) National Diploma in Electronic Communication – Applied Electronics/Instrumentation equivalent (Essential) 3 years' experience in electronic repairs 1 year of NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) experience will be advantageous Unendorsed legal driver's license Willingness to travel occasionally Job Specific Responsibilities: Assemble, install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic components and systems. Read and understand circuit drawings and basic circuit design. Source or fabricate replacement parts for electronic equipment. Maintain and adhere to workmanship standards. Liaise with the manager and clients to discuss work schedules and timelines. Complete all relevant documentation related to the testing and repair of products. Provide feedback to the department head on quality, production processes, and test procedures. Highlight technical problems encountered and suggest possible modifications to products. Ensure proper use and safekeeping of tools. Control and manage test equipment and tools. Collect and transfer data for statistical purposes. Provide technical support to clients. Handle production orders that fail quality control (QC) and ensure repairs meet required standards.
