ELECTRICIANCompany OverviewOur client has been since 1982 and with 40 years of knowledge & experience that have built a reputation for delivering a dynamic, reliable and friendly service to domestic and commercial clients across the South of England.Due to their success and expansion this year, they are looking for an experienced Electrician to work out of their Wiltshire branch and cover clients across the South West.Working within many different sectors we provide a full range of design, installation and maintenance services for electrical, heating, plumbing, fire and security systems.To install, program, maintain, service and repair various fire detection and alarm systems, along with other associated systems. Ensuring up to date knowledge of and compliance with current regulations.Company Usp'sEOT (Employee Owned Trust)High-end domestic and commercial projects, secured by reputation, quality of work and word of mouthWe heavily invest in apprenticeships – currently have 27 apprentices across the companyJob ResponsibilitiesUses a working knowledge of electrical systems to conduct maintenance, fault finding, and diagnostics on existing systems.Installs new electrical systems, including lighting and heating, to customer standards and to maintain those systems while upholding safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations.Installing, maintaining, modifying and repairing electrical systems in both domestic and commercial environments.Ensuring the electrical systems adhere to the electrical safety standards and regulations.Using plans, wiring schematics and manufacturers installation manuals to complete projects.Diagnose and repair electrical problems in commercial and domestic electrical systems, including fault-finding, rewiring, testing and monitoring.Assess and order the parts required for a job, completing work orders and recording materials that are used on the job.Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic electrical systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards.Identifying electrical problems and repair them escalating problems as required.Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds Company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety standards.Essential Skills:City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications or equivalent electrical qualifications (ECS Gold Card).City and Guilds Inspection and Testing Certificate (2391).Working knowledge of IEE Regulations.Able to demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements.Previous experience of working as an Electrician or Electrical Improver.Knowledge of Policies, Processes and Procedures including Safety.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInstallation of fire detection and security alarm systems, including emergency lighting, remote monitoring, intruder alarms, access controls, intercoms and nurse call systems.To maintain and provide ongoing reactive maintenance.Closely work with the Contract Managers to ensure all works are completed and rescheduled where required.Support customers and wider company operations, sales, administration and operations where required.Provide supervisory and technical support to colleagues and communicate with staff at all levels.Ensure the guidelines and standards of work expected are understood and adhered to.Ensure that follow up work requirements are referred to the appropriate person to enable necessary action and recommendations to clients.Maintain a professional appearance and manner, consistent with client and company expectations.Set a good example to colleagues by observing and adhering to all company rules and regulations, complying with all site regulations and safeguarding of company property.Complete all necessary company documentation punctually and in accordance with guidelines or schedules issued.Attend all training courses and meetings as required and oversee development of colleagues where required.Observe and adhere to company Health and Safety guidelines and contribute to a Health and Safety working environment.All other engineering and servicing related duties as determined reasonable by a manager for the needs of the business.Essential Skills3-5 years' experience as a qualified Electrician.Service, install, remedial and maintenance experience.Able to read technical drawings and schematics.Salary & BenefitsIn return our client is offering a salary between £35k - £37k (DOE).Company Van.Fuel card.Company mobile phone and relevant IT equipment (depending on role).28 days (including bank holidays) with an additional one day added per every 2 years' service (up to 25 days).Pension scheme enrolment after 3 months service.Cycle scheme.Tech scheme.Long-service awards.Enhanced overtime rates.Callout retainer for Engineers.Travel time paid one way – from home/main office to site (whichever is nearer).
