Electrician

To carry out quality repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure effectiveness and availability.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Duties include but not be limited to•Managing safety checks, circuits, system measures and analysis•Control system design and construction•Responsible for faultfinding on electrical and electro-mechanical systems•Servicing of equipment•Wiring for power and control circuits•Waterproofing of electrical equipment•Wiring of premises and breakdown equipment•Ensure that good maintenance of machinery is maintained in the workshop•Performing Root Cause Analysis for Repetitive Breakdowns•Detailed feedback on work done, failures, materials used, time used•System improvement plans and recommendationsQUALIFICATIONS & KEY REQUIREMENTS:•Qualified Electrician•N4 with minimum 5 years experience•Experience working in FMCG plants, with refrigeration equipment as well•Experience working with electronic grading systems•PLC programming experience•Experience in HT switching would be an advantage•Willing to work long hours, weekends, standby and overtime•Medically fitCOMPETENCIES/SKILLS:•Knowledge of Code of Practice 29•Good communication skills•Ability to work within a team•Troubleshooting•Knowledge of OHS Act•Ability to perform under pressure•Experience with variable speed drives
