Almin Projects is hiring an experienced Senior Red Seal Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Rustenburg. We mainly operate a fleet of Hydraulic Drill Rigs and are committed to high standards in quality, maintenance, and safety within the mining sector. Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct inspections, repairs, and diagnostics on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components, with a primary focus on Hydraulic Drill Rigs.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform proactive checks to maximize equipment efficiency and minimize downtime in demanding field conditions.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to accurately identify and resolve mechanical issues.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed following SHEQ standards to maintain a safe working environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Red Seal Certification as a Diesel Mechanic.
8+ years' experience with opencast drill rigs or similar heavy machinery, particularly with hydraulics and diesel engines.
Advanced Technical Skills: Expertise in diesel engine maintenance, hydraulic and electrical systems, with strong troubleshooting abilities.
Leadership & Communication: Ability to work independently while also guiding junior team members as needed and communicating clearly with colleagues.
Physical Fitness: Capability to handle physical demands in rugged mining conditions.
