Job Specification (not totally inclusive) Conducting Inspections, Installations and Repairs. Identifying and resolving electrical issues, conducting repairs, replacements or assembling equipment according to technical drawings/manuals. Adhering to engineering specifications and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Read and Interpret Electrical Drawings. Plan and execute electrical installations and troubleshoot issues effectively. Troubleshoot and Repair Electrical Problems. Diagnose electrical problems and malfunctions using testing equipment and technical expertise. Identify the root causes of issues and perform repairs or replacements as needed. Safety Compliance, adhere to safety procedures, follow electrical codes and regulations, and use appropriate personal protective equipment. Conduct safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and take corrective actions to minimize risks associated with electrical systems. Minimum Skills Required Grade 12 or equivalent. Qualified Electrician – Trade tested. Must have experience of working in a heavy manufacturing industry. Valid Flameproof Certificate advantageous. Be able to read electrical schematic and wiring drawings. Valid crane license advantageous. Behavioural Competencies required Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking.
