Hire Resolve is excited to announce an opportunity for an Electrical Technician based in Cape Town.
We are working with a prominent company in the utility management sector that is looking for a dedicated and skilled technician to join their team.
In this role, you will be essential to the maintenance and enhancement of electrical systems crucial for efficient utility management.
Your responsibilities will include diagnosing electrical malfunctions, performing repairs, and ensuring preventive maintenance routines are effectively executed.
Collaborating with engineers and other technicians, you will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of utility operations.
Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand electrical layouts.
Diagnose electrical problems using test equipment and troubleshoot faulty circuits or components.
Ensure electrical systems are up to code and meet safety standards, adhering to local regulations.
Install and configure electrical wiring, outlets, switches, and panels in new or existing buildings.
Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems, identifying and replacing worn or damaged parts.
Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to design and implement electrical systems for projects.
Document service activities, maintain inventory of tools and supplies, and ensure safe working conditions.
Requirements Qualified Electrician with at least N3 or equivalent Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in electrical system maintenance Proficient in both Afrikaans and English Strong customer service skills Valid driver's license Effective time management and planning skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Proficient in computer applications, specifically MS Excel Goal-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines Capable of working under pressure Grade 12 or equivalent education Benefits Salary: negotiable Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable) Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
