Fit taper keys, typically, into couplings, sprockets etc.? Fit standard generators kits and alternators.? Fitting of couplings and drive plates to engine drive.? Familiar with AC and DC control circuits and fault finding.? Do various method of welding example SMAW or TIG from a quality perspective? Assist with all External/Internal Admin and Sales functions? Fault finding and repairs on site in the event of a generator failure where support will alsobe given by the Field Services department during load sheddingProjects? Managing Operational aspects of new/old projects, namely,o Execution of product on timeo Mechanical/Warranty repairso Attending site meetings if requiredo Prepare Gensets for workshop testingo Prepare Gensets for FAT with cliento Prepare Gensets for deliveryo Complete all QA/QC documents for dispatcho Updating digital record on company driveProcurement? Request quotes from suppliers through relevant company procedures? Follow up if material is on time before factory floor require these items? Track status and progress of orders before shipments send to siteMonthly Reports? Compile KPI report information and send to QC Officer/Operations Manager? Update Health and Safety records and Report to H&S Officer? Report to the Operations Manager and Project Manager any forecasted project delaysdue to technical issuesQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE? Matric & Trade Tested Artisan? Minimum 4 years' experience as a tradesman Mechanical/Diesel or Qualified Electrician with Generator installation experience? Minimum 2 years Supervisory experience would be advantageous? Experience with MS Office, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS? A keen sense of urgency and a willingness to learn additional job-related skills.? Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language, Afrikaans will be an added advantage.? Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including formal communications and making presentations.? Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.? Must have excellent technical and communication skills.? Ability to work well in a team setting and have good organizational skills.? Must be able to work under pressure.? Good telephone manner.?
