Electrical Engineer - Durban
Our client is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a background in industrial and infrastructure projects in the private and government sectors to be based in Durban. You will be required to travel extensively around South Africa.
Responsibilities:

Perform and oversee electrical engineering activities for various industrial projects to safely deliver on all company operational plans during the project execution phase.
Engineering design in accordance with established standards and codes of practice.
Reviewing technical documentation and defining electrical engineering requirements.
Carrying out technical evaluations and preparation of specifications for electrical infrastructure and installations.
Conduct feasibility and electrical power system studies.
Attend factory acceptance tests and provide input to vendor's test documentation.
Manage and assist with plant electrical equipment and system installation and commissioning.
Accountability for quality, risk management, financial performance, scope management, and client satisfaction in all projects undertaken.
Liaise with the client to ensure that agreed designs are in accordance with requirements.
Representation at client and professional meetings with the ability to present work and engage in technical conversations in a professional manner.

Requirements:

Electrical Engineering BEng/BSC Degree or BTech qualification.
7-10 years previous electrical engineering experience in industrial and infrastructure projects in the private and government sectors.
Proven track record of ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer or Technologist.
Greenfields and brownfields plant design and construction experience.
Be able to work and embrace team culture with fellow peers across the various divisions.
Provide mentorship to students and graduates.
DigSilent/ETAP Loadflow/Fault Study Modelling would be advantageous.
