Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist with the commissioning of electrical equipment, controls, and instrumentation.Estimate and prepare proposals for electrical & instrumentation scope of supply for inquiries.Design of controls and instrumentation, preparation of instrument lists, I/O lists, EFDs, loop drawings, routing diagrams, hook-ups, instrumentation specifications, instrument data sheets, instrument calibrations, procurement, design of control philosophies, analog diagrams, design of PLC cabinets, PLC programming.Design or specify motor control centers, motor lists, cable sizing, cable schedules, I/O list, electrical wiring drawings, routing diagrams, equipment sizing, equipment selection, equipment specifications, equipment data sheets, and procurement.Cold and hot commissioning of fans, pumps, AC variable speed drives, burners, oil & gas systems, control valves, boiler automatic controls tuning, and setting up of controls.Operational fault finding of boiler and ancillary equipment control systems. Create and maintain bills of materials (BOM's) on company Material Requirement Planning (MRP) system.Desired Experience & QualificationBachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (or equivalent). Professional registration with ECSA or in the process of being registered. Minimum 5 years relevant experience in an Industrial Control Environment. Minimum 3 years PLC & DCS programming experience (preferably Schneider Unity Pro software).Minimum 3 years control loop tuning experience.Have a better than average academic record, especially in the fields of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automatic controls.Good understanding of Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics.Good understanding of national and international electrical equipment standards & regulations.Proficient in Excel and Word with exposure to AutoCAD Electrical and EPlan.Package & RemunerationMarket-Related SalaryInterested?Please only apply for this position if you meet all the requirements.
