Who are we: A business-to-business publishing house focusing on trade publications. Who we are looking for: A talented and detail-oriented Editor with a strong background in the news industry. What will you do:Review, edit and proofread content for grammar, style and accuracyEnsure all content adheres to the company's editorial guidelines and toneCollaborate with writers and content creators to improve the clarity and impact of the materialManage the production schedule and ensure timely delivery of all contentFact-check articles, ensuring that all information is accurate and properly sourcedWork closely with the design and marketing teams to produce engaging and visually appealing contentEnsure consistency in style, tone and quality across all platforms (web, print, social media, etc.)Stay updated on trends in the industry to ensure content relevance and competitivenessProvide feedback and coaching to junior writers or content contributorsMaintain and update editorial style guides as needed What will you need:Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related fieldPrevious experience in a news environment is essentialProven experience as an Editor, with a strong portfolio of edited worksExceptional command of the English language, including grammar and punctuationStrong attention to detail and an eye for improving content structure and readabilityAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesFamiliarity with content management systems (CMS) and SEO best practices is a plusAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectivelyKnowledge of digital media platforms, including social media, blogs and newslettersExperience working with design software or familiarity with layout and formatting is an advantage
