Kendrick Recruitment is thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Duty Manager at a luxurious lodge situated in the prestigious Madikwe Reserve. We are seeking a dedicated and personable individual to be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring their stay is unforgettable.
Position Overview:
As the Duty Manager, you will play a key role in hosting our guests, providing exceptional service from their arrival through to their departure. Your organizational and interpersonal skills will be vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere and overseeing the smooth operation of the lodge.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Welcome & Hosting: Greet guests upon arrival, ensure they feel welcome, and guide them to their accommodations.
Meal Hosting: Host guests during meals and tea times, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Check-Out Procedures: Manage guest check-outs and take payments efficiently.
Room & Area Readiness: Inspect rooms and all public areas to ensure they are clean, well-maintained, and ready for guests.
Maintenance Coordination: Follow up on any maintenance issues, ensuring they are reported and resolved promptly.
Job Brief:
We are looking for a Host who will be responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests. You will greet them and ensure they are well taken care of throughout their stay, particularly during meal and tea times as well as bush stops. Your goal will be to provide excellent customer service and ensure a relaxing experience for all guests.
Requirements:
Experience: Previous work experience as a Host or in a similar role within a hospitality setting.
Lodge Etiquette: Understanding of lodge etiquette and familiarity with health and safety regulations.
Staff Management: Experience in managing staff and coordinating their activities.
Customer Service: Demonstrable customer-service skills with a friendly demeanor.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both via phone and in person.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to monitor and manage the dining and bar area effectively.
Physical Stamina: Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift.
Availability: Willingness to work in shifts as needed.
Package & Remuneration:
Salary: R8,000 per month, negotiable based on experience.
