Duty Manager - Franschhoek

Ultra Luxury wellness retreat and hotel close to Franschhoek is looking for a Duty Manager. We are looking for a passionate person with significant practical experience and knowledge within the hospitality industry.
You would be part of a small team that would be providing service and hospitality at the highest level to enhance the guest's experience. Your style is personal, intuitive, attentive, your eye for detail needs to be impeccable. You need to be able to read the room, the general atmosphere, our guests and their needs.

You would be responsible for the guests' experience, from the arrival welcome, check in and orientation of the property
Guiding the guests on their personalized schedule.
Guidance during the stay, including doing set ups of various Group Activities
Ensuring guests are at the correct areas for their activities.
Assisting with any guest requests, including booking transfers if required.
Ensuring a smooth check out, and taking payment for any extras.
General housekeeping, atmosphere, ordering of equipment and stationery all form part of this.
Stock take and sales would be your area of responsibility too.
Communicate effectively with the various teams regarding any special requests, as well as knowing and understanding the daily menus created by the chefs to ensure this is aligned with the information you may receive from guests.
Book and schedule various inclusive spa treatments as well as additional treatments along with booking additional offering with various external practitioners.
You would lead the service by adopting a 'hands-on' approach, demonstrating the willingness to serve alongside the hospitality teams.
As a Duty Manager you work hand in hand with the support departments (Maintenance, IT, Housekeeping and Service Teams) to ensure the guest experiences is of the highest standard.
Initiative, forward planning, communication skills and organization skills are key attributes to this role
Ensure that policies, processes, and standards directly affecting Guests reflect their safety, security, and preferences.
Knowledge and love of all things wellness would be a big advantage

Requirements:

Grade 12
Formal qualification
At least 2 - 4 years experience in a high end luxury property
Interest and knowledge of health & wellness will be an advantage
