We are looking for a talented and experienced Dry Goods Buyer with experience in Beer & Wine retailing who has a passion for the supermarket industry to ensure our Beer & Wine Departments are running effectively while maximizing opportunities. 
The ideal candidate will be: Great at building strong relationships and communicating effectively, especially with our supplier communityDriven to find the best deals to pass on to our customersFocused on providing exceptional customer service at all times Analytical, self-motivated and show initiativeHighly organised, reliable and accountableAn experienced buyer or supervisor within the supermarket industryA Forklift licence holder or be willing and able to obtain oneKey responsibilities of this position include: Securing product procurement on optimum termsMeeting with supplier representatives Ordering stock for Dry Goods departments, particularly beer and wineAnalysing sales, profitability and product performanceManaging stock levels in conjunction with the Dry Goods Management teamOverseeing stock movements within the departmentSetting up new products and managing product deletionsSetting up and maintaining correct promotional signage in the alcohol areaCustomer Orders and EnquiriesUtilising our SAP business reporting systems to the stores advantageA commitment to our Health & Safety and Food Safety Standards.This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are Sunday – Thursday (Friday & Saturday off) 6:30am – 4:00pm.
