Domestic Assistant

This is a Temporary role
We are looking for a Domestic Assistant on behalf of one our clients to provide cleaning service within a day centre.
Successful candidates need to have previous experience in domestic cleaning, preferably within a local authority or public sector.
Duties include:

The cleaning of the establishment and maintaining high standards in these areas.
Maintaining floor surfaces in accordance with the requirements of the cleaning and janitorial specification.
Attending to and cleaning up after spillages.
Clean soft floor coverings and soft furnishings.
Deep clean areas on a rotational basis.
Assist the Caretaker with flushing outlets in accordance with Legionella regulations.
Taking reasonable care for the Health and Safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their activities.
Removal of waste from the centre rooms to the external waste facility in the grounds.
Emptying litter bins etc and removing waste to designated areas.
Cleaning of working surfaces and other furniture as directed.
Cleaning up after flooding and/or any other emergency cleaning.
Removal of graffiti from internal and external surfaces.
Setting out of furniture etc as required/requested.
To assist the caretaker as required with maintenance of required information in the logbooks, stock cards, inventories etc and to ensure that adequate cleaning supplies are maintained to meet the needs of the establishment.
Cleaning of toilets and washrooms to the required standard.
When required to clean the internal surfaces of glass and windows.
Replacing consumable items.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £11.59 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week

Monday to Friday
