You will be responsible for ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location, on time, to the quality required, and in the most cost-effective way to all customers. You will also manage and oversee the export dispatch operations to ensure that international shipments are processed efficiently, comply with regulatory requirements, and meet customer expectations.Minimum Requirements:Education: Grade 12 plus relevant degree or 3-year diplomaMinimum of 2 years' experience in Freight ForwardingMinimum of 2 years' experience in Pricing / EstimatesExperience in exporting into Africa across bordersExperience in working with external transportersUnderstanding of incoterms, criticalUnderstanding of shipping line processes and requirementsUnderstanding of port charges and processesExcellent administrative, computer, and communication skillsPeople management, coaching abilities, teamwork, and time managementUnique blend of business and technical savvyA big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a realityAbility to work independently and be self-motivated as well as part of a teamAbility to conduct thorough internet research and meta-analysisDetail-oriented with strong follow-through skillsExcellent presentation skills and good interpersonal skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Access)Ability to execute the DEDVIM process (define, explore, develop, validate, implement, measure)Duties and Responsibilities:Create and implement best practice dispatch principles, policies, and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performancePlan, coordinate and manage the movement of outgoing export orders and those delivered locally through External TransportersManage External Transporters by ensuring correct quantities and products are loaded to that which was invoiced and ensure adherence to Service Level AgreementsEnsure standard load configurations are developed and adhered toEnsure the organization and the proper sequence of loads is delivered to maximize efficiencyInspect orders to ensure the correct quantities and products match what was invoiced to the recipientsTrack final product shipments, costs, and timelines according to requirementsResolve shipment and inventory issuesNegotiate and procure rates from 3PL service providers, such as port agents, transporters as well as origin stationsCompile estimates and quotationsProvide monthly reporting of conversion of estimates to businessKeep detailed, organized records of orders and stockPrepare accurate reports according to the expectations of managementAnalyze data, and suggest modifications and improvements accordinglyEnsure that customer orders are delivered safely, effectively, and efficiently and in line with the company requirementsResolve any arising customer problems or complaintsMonitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costsPartner with the Sales Team and keep them informed and up to date on the progress of deliveriesAssist in overseeing the warehouse, ensure the integrity of stock accuracy, and manage stock movements with the help of team membersEnsure that all export shipments comply with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policiesStay up to date with changes in export regulations and implement necessary adjustments to proceduresDevelop and maintain efficient export dispatch processes and procedures to enhance productivity and reduce costsEnsure metrics, reports, and process documentation is availableOversee Dispatch (Internal) as and when requiredEnsure pest control and documentation is up to dateEnsure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated
