An energetic, seasoned and results-oriented Director of Expansion to play a key role in the expansion of our company and the achievement of growth targets into townships. The ideal candidate will be flexible, willing and able to travel frequently initially nationally and then internationally, have strong operational and executive management skills, proven expansion track record with the ability to expand to different locations simultaneously and demonstrated buy-in to the TooMuchWifi values, vision and mission.About the roleThe Director of Expansion will be responsible for the entire operational execution of our company's expansion strategy nationally and internationally.What you will be doingLead the execution of the company's expansion strategy and operational activities and requirements for expansion.Collaborate with other departments such as commercial, network, software, HR and operations to align expansion efforts with overall company goals.Remain flexible and prepare effective contingency plans for changes in market conditions, industry trends, and other relevant external factors that may affect expansion goals.Prepare detailed project and execution plans for expansion in various locations simultaneously.Monitor expenses and ROI related to expansion initiatives.Identify, report and manage potential risks associated with expansion operations and plans.Provide regular weekly and monthly expansion status reports and insights.Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of expansion operations.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.Negotiate prices and terms with relevant suppliers and service providers.Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree in business or related field. A postgraduate level qualification is a plus.5+ years of recent experience in business development/expansion operations in an executive capacity.Relevant consulting experience at reputable companies will be a huge advantage.Proven experience in identifying market trends, operational or infrastructure challenges, and expansion opportunities across South Africa.Proven experience developing and managing strategic partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders.In-depth understanding of townships across South Africa. Excellent organisational and leadership skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.Willing to work hard and long hours, including extensive travelling to various provinces.
