If successful, you will be playing a key role in bringing holistic financial advisers to millions of clients.
As we scale our operations globally, we recognise the critical role that a robust marketing function plays in our growth.
Hence, we are seeking a highly skilled Director of Marketing to spearhead our marketing strategy and operations.
Key Responsibilities: Product Marketing Leadership Develop and lead a discipline of product marketing consistent with our operating model of cross-functional product teams, following best practices in the  tech industry.
Hire, train, and develop product marketers who will work closely alongside our product managers as part of growth-focused cross-functional squads.
Drive product marketing initiatives that support our business goals and product adoption.
Brand Development and Management Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that balances both our Enterprise and Marketplace lines of business.
Position LifeCheq in the minds of potential partners, prospective employees, regulatory bodies, and potential investors  Create and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
Enterprise Customer Relationship Management Collaborate closely with Account Executives to bring a strategic lens to deepening relationships with large enterprise clients.
Develop and implement strategies to increase mindshare and partnership attitudes among partner organisations at all levels.
Oversee the creation and execution of internal publications, events, functions, awards, and profile-building activities for enterprise clients.
Marketing Strategy and Execution Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives for both our enterprise and marketplace business lines.
Lead the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, content marketing, and traditional media.
Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
Team Leadership and Development Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, including product marketers, brand specialists, and customer relationship managers.
Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and data-driven decision-making within the marketing department.
Collaborate effectively with other departments, including Product, Sales, and Customer Success, to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with overall business goals.
Budget Management and ROI Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across various marketing initiatives.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and demonstrate ROI.
Thought Leadership and Industry Positioning Represent LifeCheq at industry events, conferences, and in media interactions to establish the company as a thought leader in fintech and financial advice.
Contribute to the development of thought leadership content that positions LifeCheq as an innovator in the financial advice space.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
MBA is a plus.
10+ years of progressive experience in marketing roles, with at least 5 years in a senior management position in a technology or fintech company.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies in B2B and B2C environments.
Strong understanding of product marketing principles and practices in the software/tech industry.
Experience in building and managing brands, particularly in a dual B2B and B2C context.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing marketing teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach to decision-making.
Experience in marketing within the financial services or fintech sector is highly desirable.
Familiarity with emerging markets and their unique challenges and opportunities is a plus.

While the role can potentially be done remotely, we strongly prefer candidates based in South Africa.
