The University of Fort Hare is seeking applications from appropriately qualified and experienced candidates for a Director: Human Resources position on a 5 Year Fixed-term Contract, in the People Management & Support division.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in Human Resources or Industrial psychology.
HPCSA registration as an Industrial Psychologist.
Proven experience as an HR specialist in a leadership position of no less than 5 years, gained in a complex organisational environment, preferably in a Higher Education or similar sector.
Experience establishing HR systems and technical solutions in complex contexts.
Possess a strong understanding of legal frameworks around labour laws and employee relations.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director: People Management and Resources, you will:
Provide oversight to the Senior Managers of Human Resources Operations, Talent Management and Remunerations, Benefits and Shared Services.
Lead and direct across all aspects of HR management and employee relations.
Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and procedures, while driving initiatives around talent acquisition, retention and motivational programs, compensation, performance management, talent and leadership development, succession planning and employee engagement.
Optimise the performance of staff and partners through institutional collaboration that supports the University's mission of academic excellence, research innovation, student success, and systems enhancement.
Build and strengthen stakeholder relationships across boundaries and backgrounds.
