Coupled with 5 years' experience at a middle/senior managerial level working in the relevant field. Furthermore, the recommended candidate will be required to produce his/her SMS Pre-entry certificate as offered by the National School of Governance (NSG) prior to the appointment being made. Competencies: Public Finance Management Act, Labour Relations, Public Service and Departmental procedures and prescripts, mentoring and interpersonal relations, Conflict Handling, Financial Management, People management and empowerment, Strategic management and planning, Project Management, Computer Literacy, Presentation, and report writing skills, Stakeholder relations, Ability to work in a team, individually and under pressure, Ability to interpret and implement public service legislation and regulations, Honesty, pro-active and articulate. A valid driver's license.Duties:Manage the promotion of the Department internally through communication liaison support and advisory services.Manage internal communication strategy throughout the department.Manage the implementation of Corporate Branding.Manage departmental events and co-ordinate imbizos.Manage mobilization of stakeholders and monitor outreach programmes.Manage the identification and management of feedback from audiences targeted by the departmental mandate and services rendered.Manage the drafting of publications to promote services and image of the department.Manage communication activities around events and campaigns on the departmental events calendar.Manage the departmental calendar of events is kept up to date.Manage planned external and internal departmental and Ministerial events.Manage event and communication plans for departmental marketing campaigns.Manage the development, management and promotion of the department's strategies and interventions.Manage the establishment and maintenance of good media relations.Manage the compilation of speeches, media statements and articles.Manage and solve conflict within Directorate.Manage the Budget of the Directorate.Manage the skills development plan of the Directorate.Manage the PMDS of the Directorate.Manage the audit finding and queries of the Directorate.Notes:It is our intention to promote representivity (race, gender, and disability) in the Public Service through the filling of these posts.
