About the roleThe Digital Marketing Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing campaigns that promote a company and its products or services. They play a major role in enhancing brand awareness within the digital space as well as driving website traffic and acquiring leads/customers.Key Responsibilities1.Strategic Planning:Develop and implement a cohesive digital marketing plan to increase brand awareness and revenue.Set current and long-term goals for internal teams.Design and review the Marketing department's budget.2.Team Leadership and Collaboration:Lead and manage the digital marketing team.Guide the content team in crafting engaging and SEO-friendly content.Collaborate with other teams and departments to integrate marketing strategies.3.Campaign Management:Launch and oversee online adverts through Google AdWords, Facebook, linkdIn etc. to increase company and brand awareness.Oversee SEO and SEM strategies.Manage email and social media marketing campaigns.4.Analytics and Reporting:Use analytical tools to monitor and evaluate the company's digital marketing strategy's effectiveness.Maintain knowledge of the marketing technology landscape, analytics, and business intelligence.Provide end-to-end project management for all digital campaigns.5.Innovation and Adaptation:Identifying and testing new digital platforms and tools.Stay up-to-date with digital technology developments.Adapt strategies based on analytical data and emerging trends.6.Communication:Communicate digital marketing plans and strategies to senior management. Supervise the design of all digital media elements including the company website and individual project microsites.Candidate requirementsEducation:•Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital technologies, or related field.•An advanced degree such as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) can be an added advantage.Certifications (optional but beneficial):•Certifications in Google Ads, Google Analytics, HubSpot or other relevant digital marketing certificationsExperience:•Proven work experience as a Digital marketing strategist or Digital marketing manager.•Strong experience with SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, and CRM software.•Familiarity with web design and content management systems.Soft Skills:•Excellent analytical and project management skills.•Strong team leading and team management skills.•Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.Additional Considerations•Given the fast-paced nature of digital technologies, a Digital Marketing Director must be a quick learner, adaptable, and continuously focused on improving digital strategies based on data-driven decisions.•This role often demands a balance between creative and analytical capabilities, suggesting that successful directors are both imaginative and technically inclined.
