Digital Delivery Modeler (Structures)
REPORTS TO: Function Manager
PRIMARY POSITION PURPOSE
We are seeking a Digital Delivery Modeler (Draughtsperson) to join our Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and undertaking complex design modelling and production tasks, preparing tender/construction documents, and providing technical support services in meeting the requirements of the functional group and its clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure projects are documented within guidelines set by supervisor
Produce efficient, high-quality Models, drawings and documentation
Ensure tasks are completed to program
3D Modelling and detailing
Quality audit on outgoing drawings
Use office systems relevant to tasks
Ensure appropriate technical and drawing standards and quality procedures are maintained on all projects
Participate in office technical discussions and project delivery meetings
Mentor, train and provide technical support to junior staff
Coordinate multi-disciplinary work on projects
Communicate with clients, suppliers and other offices
Prepare bills of quantities
Compile reinforcing bending schedules
Maintain a high level of Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) and modelling expertise and engineering knowledge
Assist Engineers with research and innovation
Assist Project Managers and engineers with site queries and reporting solutions
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
National Diploma (Civil Engineering or equivalent)
1-5 years modelling and production experience. Must have civil and structural experience
Experience in the use of Autodesk, Bentley and other relevant software
Understand the use and importance of standards in the application of software tools
