Diesel Mechanic-Limpopo

Purpose: This position exists to render an efficient service on maintaining plant and equipment and adhering to safety aspects.ResponsibilitiesObserve and adhere to general responsibilities.Adhere to all employment legislation as amended from time to time.Adhere to the requirements of the SHEQ-C Code of Conduct.Adhere to all Company policies and procedures as amended from time to time.Attend safety and pre-shift meetings as scheduled.Attend training sessions as required.Responsible for general housekeeping of plant and equipment, following good housekeeping practices as per company standards.Complete all relevant inspections and reports.Report all faults and problems to the Foreman.Ensure compliance with all maintenance standard operating procedures (SOP).Do not commence any tasks if the required safety criteria are not met.Report all accidents/incidents and safety deviations to the Plant Foreman/Plant Manager.Perform planned and unplanned maintenance.Maintain plant and equipment to design capacity.Ensure that tools and equipment are kept in a safe working condition.QualificationsGrade 12 or equivalent.Recognised Trade Test Certificate.At least 5 years' experience on yellow equipment.Skills, Qualities and AbilitiesObserving skills.Planning skills.Problem-solving skills.Organising skills.Decision-making skills.Innovation.Action orientation.Communication skills (verbal, written).Visibility on site.Meet the requirements of annual medical examination.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionManagement and ManufacturingIndustriesStaffing and Recruiting
