Hire Resolve is currently on the lookout for a dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join a well-established company in the mining sector.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of diesel-powered equipment and machinery used in the mining industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective maintenance and repair of diesel engines and related systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Responsibilities: Diagnose issues with diesel engines and other components of heavy machinery.
Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered equipment.
Document repairs and maintenance performed in compliance with company procedures.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Continuously update technical knowledge on diesel engines and other systems.
Requirements Grade 12 or similar qualification Trade Test Certificate as a Diesel Mechanic Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in diesel mechanics, preferably within the mining or heavy machinery sector Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues Proficient in using tools and diagnostic equipment Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Valid driver's license Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment Vehicles: Excavators, Loaders, Fork-lifts, Side loaders, Trucks, Tractors, LDVs.
CAT machines experience with KRESS & TML attachments is a plus.
Advanced Hydraulic and Auto Electrical experience required.
Workshop and Field Work: Preventative, breakdown, and planned maintenance.
Shift Work and Standby Duty may be required.
Overtime as needed.
Forklift and Overhead Crane Licences are a plus.
