DutiesDiagnose and troubleshoot network and desktop (and related IT devices) problemsPerform daily and weekly backups and updatesCreate and manage asset register for various IT devicesInstallation and configuration of OS, drives, and applicationsAssemble / build PCs and / or replace equipmentEnd user account setup and configurationVisualisation of helpdesk and network incidentsSupport plant IT requirementsFinance accounting software supportDevelop advanced office files for other departmentsPerform preventative It maintenance and security activitiesSupport network and stand-alone printersEnsure all IT related operations run smoothlyCreate reports for IT departmentEnsure compliance with company IT security rulesPerform ad hoc activities as and when requireMinimum Requirements Minimum education level: FET Certificate: PC Support or, FET Certificate: PC Engineering or ,FET Certificate: IT Technical Support or NC, IT: System Support (PC Engineering) candidates must have at least one of these qualifications with NQF level between 4-6At least 3 years relevant work experienceIT specific requirements: Experience in Networking, Operating Systems (OS) from Windows 7 to current, MS office 2019 to current (M365), Comptia A+, Compta N+, and Active DirectoryMicrosoft certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) certification is an advantageCompTIA Security+ is an advantageBasic knowledge of PLC is an advantageAbility to work shifts, overtime, and stand-by as and when required
