Job Purpose The Department of Police Oversight and Community Safety, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a qualified and competent individual to manage the administrative support services functions for the Chief Directorate: Security Risk Management. This post is stationed in Cape Town, CBD.
An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification); A minimum of 3 years management level experience in a safety and security environment.
Recommendation A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence.

Key Performance Areas Provide management support on policy and strategic matters; Management of the financial and human resources of the programme; Develop, review and maintain a strategic process in line with the MTSF; Develop and maintain a security information system for utilisation by the organisation; Support the programe manager in the implementation of adhoc projects.
Knowledge of the following: Safety and security related legislation, standards and regulations (understanding and intepretation); Treasury Regulation, Treasury Instructions and departmental delegations; Safety and security management and risk management processes; Application of legislation, policies and prescripts, strategic planning processes; Public management and administration; Relationship management; Skills needed: Planning and organising; Problem solving and decision-making; Written and verbal communication; Computer literacy (MS Office); Project managemet; Information technology; Strategic planning management; Interpersonal; Analytical; Observation; People management; Continuous improvement.
Remuneration All-inclusive salary package of R 849 702 per annum (Salary level 11)
Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages forthe middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13thcheque, medical assistance,housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed.
Notes Note: Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to attend interviews on a date and time as determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency test. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
