Job Purpose:To deliver quality service to our clients, live the values of SNG Grant Thornton and align outcomes with the overall strategic objectives of SNG Grant Thornton.To ensure maximum profit for the organization through maximizing profits on engagements.To grow SNG Grant Thornton service line to be a significant player in the marketDuties/Responsibilities:Staff management, service delivery, profitability and expanding the services offered to current and prospective clients.Responsible to coordinate resources that are insourced through our network of independent consultants, or from our international colleagues in the wider Grant Thornton group, if additional specialist skills should be requiredDrive the implementation of talent management policies and processes for his/her menteesEnsure the development of his/her mentees in the organization to be technical experts, to manage talent management processes of his/her mentees including (talent acquisition, succession planning, career management)Comply with the governance structures within the organization to achieve on the strategies of the organizationProvide strategic direction to the mentees and align people to the strategyCommunicate the vision and strategy of the organization to all mentees and personnel in the service lineImplement and monitor performance management processes for his/her mentees including the responsibility for managing out poor performersSet clearly defined KPI's for his/her menteesManage the capacity requirements of his/her assignments to ensure that the optimal capacity resulting from the engagement planning and strategy process is not exceededCoach mentees and ensure they become effective business leadersEnsure the development of high performing teams in the service lineAssist the service line leader to identify a strong leadership pipelineAssist the service line leader to ensure effective succession planning for the service lineEnsure that gearing (Partner to staff) ratio is appropriate on assignmentsImplement organizations reward and recognition policiesLead and inspire peopleIdentify key areas of strength of the engagement teams on his/her engagements and leverage off those key strengthsManage the performance of the engagement teamCapacity building at staff levelAs and when interaction is required, to meet with the, CEO and the ChairpersonFeedback on progress and projects to Head of Assurance on weekly/monthly basisRecruit and retain the best peopleRecruit specific team membersLead, energise and inspire peopleEmpower staff and train othersMentor others and provide mentors for staff membersManage the performance of staffSet example to staff by living values of SNG and lead from the frontStakeholder engagementEngage with Managing Director on matters relating to his/her portfolioEngage with internal Policy committee, EXCO and Extended EXCO on matters for which he/she is allocated responsibility as requiredInnovationInnovation fundamental to distinguish firm from the competition in the marketplaceCreate developmental opportunitiesWork with Managing Director to engage in necessary research and formulate strategic approachesRequirements:Partner/Director with at least 5 to 10 years of experience.(financial services will be required)Tender experienceExperience:A minimum of 10 years' Internal Audit ExperienceExperience in a Professional Services firm essentialExperience at an Associate Director level in a Big 4 firm or a Director in a Medium or Small Auditing firm or as Head of Internal Audit in an in-house outfitBusiness Development, Presentation and Influencing SkillsRelevant Performance Management experienceIntegrated and industry knowledge imperativeOrganizational skills to delegate and receive appropriate feedbackSome audit experience in the field in which your portfolio lies.(e.g.public sector)Qualification:Honours degree in relevant field (BCom Hons)
