Candidate ProfileQualifications Required: Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation) Experience Required: A minimum of 3 - 5 years working experience in LPG industry depot operations with supervisory experience.Experience in Logistics Management.Knowledge of stock control and management gained in a petrochemical / LPG production or industrial environment.A good knowledge of relevant legislation that impacts on LPG distribution and installations such as OHS-Act, HAZCHEM, and relevant SABS regulations.Excellent knowledge of Industrial Relations.Excellent knowledge of SAP.Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office proficiency.Other: Experience in producing and submitting quality reports as required.Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.Good leadership qualities.Strong problem-solving, planning, organizing, and decision-making skills.Driver's Licence and own vehicle (Required).ActivitiesStrategyTo manage the entire depot's operation within the framework of relevant legislation and regulations governing the industry, ensuring high customer service levels and contributing to Totalgaz's profitability and strategic supply positioning within the market.Health, Safety, Environment and Quality:To effectively manage and minimize the risk associated with depot operations by ensuring:Compliance with all HSE Policies, rules, guidelines, and legal requirements within the area of responsibility.Promotion of a safe working environment and positively contributing to the company HSE KPIs and risk reduction strategies.Enforcement of HSE competency requirements within the area of responsibility.Conducting proper and timely risk assessments for all risks to health and safety and implementing measures to mitigate identified risks.Managing the upkeep and conditions of all equipment through thorough pre-use, daily, weekly, and monthly inspections.Preparing and submitting timely all HSEQ-related reporting.Conducting weekly and monthly safety meetings and recording all minutes.Managing health and safety, security, emergency systems/procedures, protective clothing requirements, and incident reporting according to company policies and relevant regulations.Maintaining a safe workplace with minimum risk to health.Implementing and maintaining the ONE MAESTRO and Maestro Log System.Integrity:Implementing and maintaining the integrity requirements.Initiating meetings with the relevant staff on the depot regarding safety barriers.Realization and completion of the integrity checks based on the guide of constraints, reports, and KPIs.Downgrading modes requirements and putting in place validated downgrade modes safety-critical barriers.Key Results:Achieving budgeted volumes.Coordinating daily logistics and production to ensure cost-effective transport and production.Managing and controlling depot budgeted operating expenditure.Managing the depot's administration within company guidelines to improve controls and operations of the depot.Maintaining the site effectively by investigating and reporting variances through reconciliations and MBR and SAP. Stock reconciliations are to be performed daily.Submitting weekly credit control reports.Ensuring that all controls for stock and cash management are always in place and safeguarded.Monitoring and managing overtime on a monthly basis.Reporting consolidated results of the depot and any exceptions monthly, together with corrective action plans to ensure accurate reporting of the depot's activities and results.Reporting:Submitting timely all reports listed on the reporting deadline schedule.Monitoring and reporting on any other activities and providing relevant information to management.KPIs - expenditure, SAP exceptions, audit reports (Maestro/MaestroLOG and Admin etc.), HSEQ stats, transport KPI, stock loss reports, Integrity.Reporting consolidated results of the depot and any exceptions monthly, together with corrective action plans to ensure accurate reporting of the depot's activities and results.Management:Managing, motivating, training, and developing staff according to company policies and ensuring that HR procedures are followed.Liaising with other depot managers and departments to understand all necessary aspects of the depot and company.Liaising with external agencies and authorities as necessary (contractors, health and safety inspectors, fire department, police, etc.).Attending meetings with staff, customers, and relevant stakeholders to inform, negotiate, and obtain information for sustainable relationships.Managing depot employees through continuous people management, staff development, and coaching/mentoring to ensure a positive working environment that attracts and retains skilled manpower and increases productivity.Governance: To ensure effective risk management and internal control, including asset management, for the area of responsibility.Legal:Complying with OHS-ACT 1 (Appoint 8.1) legal compliance to national, environmental, and local laws, including the appointment and monitoring of Health and Safety Committees (including: Safety Officer, Fire Team, and First Aid).Managing the optimization of Totalgaz's use of depot assets and ensuring compliance with liquid license requirements.Context & EnvironmentFINANCIAL:Opex Budget: Maintenance and Repairs.Assets Management.Achieve Transport Budget.PRODUCTION:Achieve Budgeted Volumes.FUNCTIONAL SUBORDINATES:Depot Accountant.Transport staff.Fillers and General Workers.Casual Cleaner.Security Guards.Additional Information:Cylinder Management and stock control.Satisfying customer demands.Sporadic shortages of suppliers stemming from refinery problems.Internal and external stakeholder engagement and management.Apply Give your best to better energy and make the commitment with Total.
