Minimum Grade 12 qualification or equivalent, with 6 months of formal chef's training.
At least 3 years' experience as a Commis Chef in a 4*/5* environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and SAP is advantageous.
Physical and mental fitness to excel in a demanding role.
Willingness to assist with various duties and projects as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and presentation of food to exacting 5-star standards, considering guest preferences and dietary needs.
Contribution of innovative ideas to enhance revenue streams and business opportunities.
Support for the Sous Chef in tasks such as menu development and trend research.
Management of par stock, costing, rotation, and stock take processes.
Supervision, motivation, training, and management of kitchen staff performance.
Maintenance of Operating Equipment (OE) to ensure functionality and cleanliness.
Strict adherence to health, safety, cleanliness, recycling, pest control, and waste management standards.
Additional Requirements:
