We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented delivery manager to join our dynamic Group Technology team. The individual will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and managing the delivery and releases of our software solutions. The role involves direct communication and collaboration with all our tech and business teams during the Software Development Life Cycle to ensure all nominated items are delivered on time, meet the required quality expectations, and ensure the production environment remains stable and operational throughout, promoting high levels of user adoption. Our goal as a Technology & Digital Transformation team is to execute regular, iterative, and valuable technology improvements and the delivery manager forms a pivotal part in achieving this objective.On a practical level, this role involves:Planning releases based on capacity and extent of work. Ensuring releases can be delivered within desired timelines. Including improving the release planning process where deficiencies are identified.Coordinating & managing release activities, blockers, and milestones between various tech teams as well as business team stakeholders, once development has started.Validating release readiness based on the outcome of manual and automated test suites, including oversight of the risk assessment done to ensure no significant bugs or instability is introduced into the production environment.Identify the risks that can delay releases and manage them: ensuring that the scheduled objectives are still met with high quality.Lead the go-live activities to deploy the software successfully: schedule and coordinate user notification and training of releases.Analyzing system health based on reported problems and recommending and implementing improvements to overall system stability and user experience.SKILL SET AND DESIRED COMPETENCIESCritical thinkingStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisionsExcellent communicator with strong interpersonal skillsExceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and flawsAbility to work under pressure and in fast-paced environmentsStrong working knowledge of the Software Development LifecycleExperience working in Agile/Scrum development processGood understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating systemsQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEB.Eng., B.Sc. in Engineering or similar, Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Business management or any other related degreeExcellent academic recordMinimum 2 years' work experience in delivery management (or similar)
