Job Purpose
To lead and manage the delivery of approved Entrepreneurial Programmes within the BU's programme delivery methodology, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational transformation objectives.
This role oversees all aspects of project management—cost, time, and quality—using agreed-upon behaviours, techniques, and frameworks.
The role operates with significant autonomy, making independent decisions within their scope of control and escalating matters to the Manager only when material changes to programme outcomes or timelines are required. Fully accountable for delivering programmes on time, within budget, and to the expected quality standards, the role requires minimal input from the Manager, with decisions primarily driven by the Operations Forum when necessary.
Programme Delivery
Plan and manage the delivery of BU Entrepreneurial Development (ED) programmes, utilising established techniques and frameworks to ensure successful programme execution and an optimal user experience.
Serve as the Delivery Lead for allocated programme teams assigned to funder projects, providing coaching and guidance to foster desired behaviours, enhance team productivity, and embed BU delivery methodology to improve programme outcomes.
Lead and manage the delivery team to ensure the achievement of key milestones and programme outcomes, delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards.
Proactively resolve and provide solutions to programme delivery challenges, ensuring smooth execution and mitigating any potential risks to outcomes.
Manage and report on the performance of programme cohorts, including tracking activity engagement, and measuring the achievement of outputs and
outcomes to ensure alignment with project goals.
Monitor and escalate variances and manage delivery by exception, ensuring that concerns are clearly understood and that appropriate mitigation actions are recommended and implemented.
Implement continuous monitoring, evaluation, and improvement strategies across all aspects of programme delivery, including gathering and analysing beneficiary feedback, overseeing graduation ceremonies and artefact production, and identifying and mitigating programme risks.
Training Reporting
Extract data from the e-learning platform, analyse, produce reports for allocated cohorts, and make recommendations to inform BU programme design decision making process.
Stakeholder Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and project funders by communicating effectively, providing regular reports, negotiating where necessary, and resolving delivery issues to ensure programme success and the realisation of outputs and outcomes.
Ensuring ongoing engagement and consultation throughout the delivery of programmes to align expectations and foster collaboration.
People Management
Guide, support, and coach team members, providing clear direction and opportunities for upskilling to enhance their capabilities and performance.
Collaborate effectively across value streams to ensure alignment and contribute to the overall success of the division's outcomes.
Lead the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of Project Administration team members, ensuring the right talent is brought in and integrated smoothly into the team.
Manage the key performance areas of direct reports, ensuring they meet their agreed objectives and providing feedback to drive their development and success.
Risk Management
Proactively identify risks that could impact the achievement of programme outcomes during the design phase.
Implement changes or corrective actions during programme delivery to mitigate identified risks and ensure successful outcomes.
Integrate risk management strategies into relevant reports, providing clear updates on potential risks and the steps taken to address them.
Governance
Ensure compliance with BU governance requirements.
Ensure compliance with codes of conduct, policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
Reporting
Produce reports that adhere to BU standards, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with set guidelines.
Contribute to the evaluation of learning programmes, providing input on their impact by participating in surveys and assessments conducted by the Impact team.
