Decarbonisation Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Decarbonisation Consultant .
The successful candidate will have a strong background in developing decarbonisation and net-zero strategies for businesses. This role is crucial in helping our clients transition towards a sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement decarbonisation and net-zero strategies for our clients.Provide expert advice on climate change mitigation strategies.Conduct carbon footprint and life cycle assessments and set appropriate decarbonisation targets relevant to the client's businessIdentify emissions reductions levers relevant to a client's business to achieve decarbonisation targetsCollaborate with stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of decarbonisation initiatives.Awareness of the latest trends and regulations in the field of climate change.Qualifications and experience: Degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Sustainability, or a related field.Proven experience of 4-6 years in a similar role.Strong understanding of climate change issues and carbon management within the South African and global context.Experience with frameworks such as GFANZ, PCAF, TPT and the SBTiUnderstanding of the role of carbon credits, RECs and application strategies.Excellent communication and project management skills.Skills: Project ManagementCollaborationCritical thinkingLeading teamsBusiness development
