Data Engineering Manager

As the Data Engineering Manager for Data Ingestion, Storage, Processing, and Sharing, you will play a critical role in building and leading high-performing engineering teams that enable autonomous value creation through insights and machine learning.Key Responsibilities:Oversee two squads: the Data Ingestion squad, focused on collecting and protecting data from any source into secure, low-cost cloud storage, and the Data Storage, Processing, and Sharing squad, aimed at minimising barriers to transforming and sharing data for insights and machine learning.Develop and refine success metrics and service level objectives (SLOs) for your teams, inspiring them to take ownership of their performance and continuously improve against these metrics.Identify and provide the necessary skills, capacity, and resources for your teams, ensuring minimal dependency on other teams and attracting top talent.Cultivate an environment of ownership, curiosity, and continuous learning, sharing lessons learned across the organization and championing the development of your team members.Collaborate with other teams to ensure clear boundaries and high performance, removing any blockers that could hinder your team's success.About You:7+ years of experience in leading engineering teams, with at least 2 years in a modern, cloud-based environment.Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing, autonomous teams with a focus on continuous improvement.You possess a high-agency, high-ownership mindset, with a strong conviction in the power of innovation to drive success.
