Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain data center equipment including servers, storage devices, networking hardware, and related systems. Monitor and manage physical infrastructure for optimal performance, including power distribution, cooling, and environmental controls. Network & Server Administration: Ensure seamless operation of network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) and troubleshoot network connectivity issues. Manage server installations, configurations, and updates, ensuring proper server performance and security. Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor server and network performance, conducting regular performance analysis and optimizations. Implement monitoring systems to track system health and generate reports. Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols and practices to safeguard data center assets and data. Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS) and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Troubleshooting & Incident Response: Respond to and resolve incidents and outages, ensuring minimal downtime. Work on root cause analysis for issues impacting performance or availability. Capacity Planning & Scalability: Regularly assess and forecast the growth of IT infrastructure to ensure that capacity needs are met in line with business demands. Manage upgrades, expansions, and decommissioning of data center resources as needed. Requirements: Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 10 years of experience in data center operations, server management, or network engineering. Strong experience with data center hardware (servers, storage, networking equipment) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.). Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid IT infrastructures is a plus. Skills: Proficient in networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols, etc.) and network administration. Strong understanding of server hardware and virtualization technologies. Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix, etc.) and system automation (Ansible, Terraform, etc.). Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions. Certifications (Preferred): Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent. VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
