The Finance team is in search of a Data Analyst who will harness the power of tools like SQL and Power BI to derive actionable insights. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong technical expertise in analyzing complex datasets, process automation, and data system enhancements.
In this role, the candidate will collaborate with various business units to gain a deep understanding of their needs and processes and develop practical, effective solutions to address their specific challenges.
Education and experience required: 3 to 6 years of related experience National Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, or equivalent degree Technical Skills Required: Proven working experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or Data Engineer Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Azure, and Python Proficiency in data visualization tools e.g. Power BI Expertise in data models, data warehousing, data mining, and data modeling Working with large datasets and moving files between different environments A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques Process automation and monitoring Analyze trends within the business data to reduce risks and optimize performance Experience in migration processes Data profiling Data cleansing Use statistical techniques to create models Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Excellent communication and presentation skills Experience with the delivery of high-priority projects and activities under pressurized conditions Key responsibilities but not limited to: Finance: Data Visualization Process automation Continuous Improvement Insights and Analysis Data Modeling Data Profiling and Analysis Customer Centricity: Business story/Business performance Stakeholder engagement Staff Management Operational Excellence: Data Management processes and projects Insights and Analytics Reporting This position is advertised in line with our commitment to Employment Equity.
