To understand the various data sources, how the data flows through the organization and provide expertise and support through translating business needs into tangible solutions by analyzing data, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending improvements to data pipelines, data quality, metadata, master and reference data, data access management.
Are you someone who can: Track all carbon emissions for Firstrand SA as part of Scope 1, 2 and 3. Ensure the program is working optimally. Ensure data feed is received promptly on a monthly basis. Ensure data integrity is 100% accurate. Manage vendors transferring data via an API or MFT. Conduct YOY and MOM comparisons. Identify any carbon saving opportunities. Consolidate data for all subsidiaries - FCC, Wesbank, RMB, FNB, Ashburton and Motovantage. Generate reports for executive distribution. Facilitate accurate forecasting to achieve Net Zero by 2030. Have a good understanding of Microsoft Power BI. Understand data sources and map to target systems/solutions. Provide transformation rules to Data Engineers. Understand business rules and requirements to solve specific use cases. Ensure that processes conform to business objectives and comply with Group Information Architecture. Apply company, business, Group and/or relevant industry knowledge for analysis. Prepare and present findings on data analysis in written and verbal reports to key stakeholders. Assist with the mapping of the various source systems to the relevant enterprise data model elements. Query and connect data from disparate sources to identify areas where changes are required. Conduct analysis, time-series analysis, and classification models and deliver accurate and high-quality analysis. Utilize methodologies and methods for accessing, analyzing and presenting data. Research new data sources and analytical tools to improve the process and underlying data analysis. Check accuracy of data and if it is within relevant thresholds and compare the new output with existing requirements. Analyze and recommend changes to data pipelines of existing and new initiatives. Partner with stakeholders to grasp problem specifics and collect, process, and analyze data. Engage with Data teams to understand the data landscape. Drive conversations with relevant stakeholders to unpack project and requirements. You will be an ideal candidate if you: Minimum Qualification: Degree in Maths/Stats. Experience and Skills: 3-5 years relevant experience. Proficiency in Power BI and Excel. Great attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Number savvy.
