Data Analyst / Decision Scientist (Ch1048) - Fully Remote

Our client, developmental credit provider that provides credit to individuals who are wanting to build, renovate or do home improvements, is looking for a a Decision Scientist with a strong statistical background to join their growing analytics team.The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing complex data sets, developing insightful reports, and applying statistical methods to drive business decisions.This position requires a combination of technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and business acumen.The position will be remote-based.Qualification and Experience Requirements: Degree (minimum), Honours Degree (preferred) in mathematics, statistics, finance, or related disciplines.At least 3 years of experience in a Decision Science or similar analytical role.Experience and knowledge with regards to the credit lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical techniques such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, data mining and predictive modelling to solve business problems.Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyse large data sets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.Reporting and Visualization: Create reports and dashboards to present findings to stakeholders.Data Quality: Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data validation and quality checks.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including credit, finance, and operations, to understand their analytical needs and provide data-driven solutions.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance data analysis efficiency.Technical Competencies:Data programming languages: SQLStatistical languages: R, PythonReporting: MS Excel, PowerBI, SSRSStrong understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational databases.Functional and Behavioural Competencies: Information gathering and problem analysis.Creating and innovating new opportunities.Quality & Detail orientation.Planning, organizing, and presenting information.Due to this being a remote position, it is essential to take ownership of your work by delivering high-quality work on time.General:Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
