Responsibilities:
Accountable for the laying, cutting, stamping and sorting of outwork on a large scale for multiple production lines
Accountable for overseeing a department with a staff compliment of over 100 employees
Accountable for Planning, Organizing, Leading and Controlling of assets and staff
Management of constant flow of fabric
Ensuring Caledon factory production lines are fed timeously with correct components
Accountable for managing automated and manual cutting technology
Responsible for planning the Cutting Room Workflow on a daily, bi-weekly and 2-month plan
Accountable to review continuous assessments relating to cost reduction initiatives: IE Waste Management
Ensuring quality standards are met in accordance with Standard Order of Process
Optimization of Fabric Utilization
Accountable for the review and sign off on job reconciliations
Maintaining Reject, Rework and Recut rate
Employee Relations - Ensure general discipline is maintained according to TFG Policy and Procedures
Daily reporting of absence counts to Caledon HR Department
Ensure good housekeeping is maintained
Ensure the department is in line with Health and Safety regulations
Implementation of individual development plans and identifying training needs
Attendance and coordination of daily Cutting Room team meetings
Requirements:
5 years + Clothing Manufacturing experience (Essential)
Grade 12
National Diploma or Degree in Fabric Technology or similar (Advantageous)
Experience with style man and fast react (Advantageous)
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Management Experience (Essential)
Experience in cost management
Knowledge and Experience in Waste Management
