NKR Outsourced Sales RepresentativeAlbertonPermanentFull TimePublished: 2 years agoR40 000 - R50 000EE/AA, Non EE/AAIntroductionSales Representative is required to be responsible for maintaining the current customer base and obtaining new business, plan and execute the marketing and sales activities for the Gauteng region. This person will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer to boost top-line sales growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability in order to achieve the gross profit target as designed in the annual budget of the company.Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Performance Areas:Market planning and budgetingSelling of broader product range as requestedProcess performance vs budgetIncrease revenueCustomer Liaison and feedback to Planning/ProductionForecastingNegotiate prices and payment termsDebtors collectionSales Representative Responsibilities:Achieving market plans, targets and budget for the Gauteng regionPromote customer focused culture, expand the market base in the region and ensure correct documentation is used in all deliveries to the customerPerforming cost-benefit analyses of existing and potential customersEnsure all accounts are paid in time as per payment terms and recons are up to dateMonitor industry trends in order to identify emerging markets and develop plans to utilize those marketsMaintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationshipsAccurately implement pricing, negotiate terms and prepare sales agreementsAssist the Technical Director with collecting and delivering samples for trials and offer product knowledgeFollow up on customer acceptance forms for all trial samplesRegular communication with Production, Warehouse and Sales Coordinators to discuss outstanding ordersPlan and follow up on daily deliveries with Logistics Manager and Sales CoordinatorsInvestigate and follow up on customer complaintsObtain forecast from customers for future deliveriesCustomer visit as per agreed schedule with customersInput daily deliveries on credit check schedule with correct order numbers and pricingEnsure that all credit notes are raised, signed off and processed timeouslyRegular communication with new and existing customers to follow up and discuss new requirementsDiscuss price increase with customers and ensure letters are distributed and signed off in timeCoordinate sales effort with team members and other departmentsGeneral:Assist to create a comprehensive Sales & Marketing StrategyPromote team effort to build a strong working relationship amongst staffAccountability for implementing ISO 9001: 2000 Procedures and Health, Safety and Environmental Management guidelinesAd hoc:Providing full back up functions to the National Sales ManagerThe employee will be required from time to time to perform other job functions based on company requirementsDesired Experience & QualificationMinimum of 2 years' experience in a similar roleKnowledge and understanding of the plastics industry and market would be advantageousAble to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cash-flow, overheadsComputer skills: Must be adept in use of MS Office, including Excel, Word, databases and OutlookLiteracy and Numeracy: Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cash-flow, overheadsBusiness and Selling Skills: Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicatorSelf starter and independent worker – ability to manage time effectively to ensure optimum productivityAbility to demonstrate success and experience managing major accounts customers and large contracts or even a business, with particular focus on achieving genuine sales developmentAbility to travel, Drivers licence and own vehicle
