Job Function To manage the Logistics of an account thereby ensuring the achievement of budgeted profits; compliance with service level conditions; sound relationships with all stakeholders and the overall growth and sustainability of the account.
Key Performance Areas: Strong focus on customer service and communication Fully accountable for fleet distribution vehicles including maintenance planning Management of the dispatch operation Financial Management including budgets, forecasts, financial ratios and profitability Daily KPI stats to measure efficiency levels. Deadlines essential for KPI reporting Manage a full staff compliment of employees Efficient Routing and scheduling of daily loads Handling customer delivery queries Ensure accurate billing to client Debtors/Creditors age analysis Management of fuel, tyres, maintenance and labour against other expenses POD Management Traffic Fine Management Time & Attendance SHERQ Management Qualifications Required: Grade 12 Three-year Degree/Diploma in Logistics will be an advantage Skills and Experience Required: At least three years distribution experience Code 8 Drivers license and own transport Computer literate: Microsoft Office and tracking systems Strong admin skills as well as a good distribution / operational skills Knowledge of the Road Freight Legislation Previous experience in budgeting, forecasting and Management accounts Good Industrial Relations background (especially in a unionized environment) Excellent communication skills at senior levels A forward thinker and leader of people Good managerial and communication skills Must be able to work independently and be deadline driven Knowledge of the Brewery Logistics environment an advantage About DP World Trade is the lifeblood of the global economy, creating opportunities and improving the quality of life for people around the world.
