Job Summary Design Graduates will get exposure into working within well-established teams to solve design problems. They will learn how to contribute to product and service teams by solving specific functional-level design problems and follow the established standards in their discipline.
A successful Design Graduate is a self-starter with a passion for solving problems and creating solutions for customers. They have a growth mindset and a willingness to learn, work well within a team, and manage their own time and work deliverables effectively.
Job Description Design Graduates will be exposed and developed to: Follow an approach defined by the teamConduct research (primary and secondary) to understand users' pains, gains, and needsExecute design work based on steer from design project leadsAdapt designs based on feedback from customers and team leadsPresent design work back to business stakeholders with the support of design project leadsBe an advocate and representative of design thinking methodologies and practicesCreate final production-ready designsCreate creative and innovative design solutions to create a world-class customer experienceContribute to the design within the projectApply design thinking and best practice standards in developing design with the support of senior designersLeverage insight and data, such as market analysis, customer feedback, and user research analytics to ensure that products/services/solutions are truly designed around the customer and deliver improved experienceDesign mock-ups and prototypes as necessary for each stage of the project, continuously iterating to achieve the optimal outputAlign the design to the design standards and brand guidelines to ensure a consistent experience for the customer across the Absa ecosystemContinuously build your own expertise by actively seeking and incorporating feedback, and following external trends and best practicesField of study: Has NQF level 7 or higher or is busy studying and plans to obtain this by the end of 2024You are required to submit a cover letter addressing these questions: Telling us about yourself, including your locationWhy you're interested in design as a careerLocation / Address: Primary location is Johannesburg, and successful Graduates will be required to attend sessions in Johannesburg regularlyEducation: Bachelors Degree and Professional Qualifications: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
