This role involves making informed credit decisions, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and adapting to market and regulatory changes.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business or a related field.3 or more years of experience in SME lending.Experience in additional SME support services is a plus.Strong credit judgment and the ability to articulate complex credit applications.Proficiency in financial statement analysis and SME lending practices.Experience with lending software is preferred.Duties and Responsibilities:Credit Decisions and Loan Origination:Implement loan origination strategies with the lending team.Review and recommend credit applications within assigned credit limits promptly.Provide independent, objective reviews and recommendations on credit applications.Ensure due diligence and adherence to company policies before submitting loan applications to senior management.Write clear and concise credit memos or announcements to communicate credit perspectives.Collaborate with Loan Officers to gather necessary information and ensure proper deal structuring.Monitoring and Collections:Monitor loans post-disbursement to ensure compliance with guidelines.Oversee and implement timely collection activities to minimize bad debts.Reporting:Prepare regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual) on lending activities for senior management.Generate reports for the Board and external stakeholders as required.Policy Development and Improvement:Support Loan Officers in maintaining client and stakeholder satisfaction.Address and resolve issues escalated by Loan Officers.Contribute to the development and implementation of SME lending guidelines and policies.Monitor market conditions and suggest enhancements to existing policies.Assess regulatory impacts on current policies and make necessary adjustments.Support strategic projects and process improvement initiatives related to the business.
