Our client, a prominent company in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Costing and Invoicing Manager, based in the Umhlanga area.The primary objective of this role is to enhance operational efficiency and optimize financial results. This involves detailed oversight of costing analysis, validation processes, and the efficient coordination of invoicing activities to ensure financial integrity and client satisfaction. Additionally, the role requires proactive management of credit note investigations, adherence to tax regulations, and the cultivation of strong debtor relationships. By conducting insightful analysis of production performance, estimating standards, and customer profitability, this role supports strategic decision-making and fosters sustainable growth.This role reports to the Commercial Manager.Duties and Responsibilities:Lead a team of 8 Costing & Invoicing Clerks and 3 Commercial Analysts.Evaluate and develop team skills, providing guidance and mentorship.Oversee costing processes, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and compliance with revenue recognition policies.Investigate and validate credit note requests, enforcing policy compliance.Manage and improve WIP accounts and no-charge work tickets.Continuously improve costing and invoicing processes.Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards (IFRS).Liaise with debtors to confirm payments and address discrepancies.Monitor production performance and collaborate on efficiency improvements.Review and update estimating standards and analyze raw material prices.Evaluate customer profitability and provide pricing strategy recommendations.Support financial audits and participate in budget and forecast preparation.Report on profitability, de-costing trends, and monthly sales.Education and Experience:CA (SA) or CIMA qualification.5 - 8 years of Costing and Invoicing experience with 2-3 years in a leadership position.Working knowledge of accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Working knowledge of Tax principles.Working knowledge of Exports.Microsoft NAV experience.Previous experience in the manufacturing industry.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and optimization.Computer Ability:Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.SQL database knowledge would be an advantage.Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software.Location: City of Cape Town Metropolitan Municipality, WC
