Applicants are required to meet the following criteria: Bachelors degree in Cost or Management Accounting/ Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of cost accounting principles, including job costing and variance analysis.Proficiency in Accpac financial software and advanced Excel skills.The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:Analyse and monitor production costs, material usage, and labour costs to ensure accuracy.Maintain and update standard costing systems and procedures.Conduct variance analysis between actual costs and standard costs, identifying discrepancies and providing recommendations for improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, purchasing, and logistics, to understand operational challenges and provide financial insights.Liaise with external accountants and assist in preparing financial information for auditMachine rate calculationsExtraction of data and preparation of required reports for recording and reporting on carbon emissions, EPR program.Manage environmental certifications, including FSC and PEFCEnsure accurate recording of inventory transactions and collaborate with production to maintain accurate physical inventories.Oversee periodic and quarterly stocktake processesAnalyse product profitability and provide detailed financial reports to management.Oversee activities of the costing clerk to ensure accurate charging of jobs and booking of stockSalary: Market related
