If you have a keen eye for detail and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, we encourage you to apply!ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain costing systems for all manufacturing processes.Monitor and analyze actual production costs versus system costs, identifying variances and investigating the causes.Re-cost existing products and perform costings for new products.Prepare detailed reports on cost performance, variances, and profitability for management.Ensure accurate allocation of overhead costs to production activities.Create and update Bill of Materials on the ERP system.Collaborate with the inventory team to manage and analyze inventory movements and valuations.Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.Calculate and monitor slow-moving or obsolete inventory, recommending actions to management.Ensure all stock in the ERP system has accurate cost and selling prices.Assist with stocktakes and cycle counts when necessary.Assist in preparing annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans.Work closely with production and procurement teams to forecast material and labor costs.Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost accounting reports for internal stakeholders.Support the finance team during audits by providing detailed cost-related information.Ensure compliance with industry standards, financial regulations, and internal control policies.Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement in manufacturing activities.Implement cost control procedures to monitor production efficiency and resource utilization.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Studying towards or CIMA qualified (advantageous).3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and financial analysis.Proficiency in ERP systems (Syspro proficiency preferred).Advanced Excel skills with the ability to handle large data sets.Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to interpret financial data.Strong communication skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong work ethic with a commitment to timely task completion.BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience.Benefits included.Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move today:Apply for this role today on LinkedIn, or contact Gustav Vogel at Hire Resolve.You can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV: ****** will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
